Rollei Ortho 25 – 120 is a technical working monochrome film with a nominal sensitivity of ISO 25/150. And if a RHC developer is used, it is also steeply working monochrome photographic film. It is characterised by a high sensitivity reserve (up to 2 f-stops, depending upon development), and offers extraordinary sharpness and extremely fine grain. This film lends itself very well to technical-scientific applications, and to pictorial photography as a half-tone film.
Its highly transparent PET substrate also affords it the opportunity to work as a B&W film. And its extraordinarily high resolving power (330 lines/mm) helps ensure it is suitable for general graphic purposes.
Spectral sensitivity ranges from 380nm to 610nm, and its orthochromatic properties are sensitised with ISO 25/150. With an anti-curl back coating to improve flatness, this film is ideal for scanning. And the polyester base offers an archival stability of LE 500 (Life Expectancy). An anti-tear coating helps provide transport-friendly film.
